Biography
CHRISTOPHE CHAMBET:Bass, Double-bass, Composition, Production-Mars 18, 1966
Christophe Chambet was first initiated to music at the age of seven, when he started taking classic guitar courses.
He formed his first Rock band when he was only thirteen years old, in which he naturally played electric guitar.
During his adolescence, Weather Report's "Black Market" album put an end to his child "Guitar Hero" plans and brought him to trade his guitar for a bass.
The icon Jaco Pastorius became a great inspirational figure for him throughout his long learning period.He moved to Paris and studied at the American School of modern music.
Once he graduated, he dedicated a year to practising the bass while sailing across the West Indies. He then moved to Geneva to earn a living.
He regulary takes part in a number of projects both in studio and on stage, composes and produces. He also enjoys cooking, skiing, hiking and gardening.

MC JP:Spoken Word-March 2, 1973
Born in Geneva, Mc JP, a professional graphic designer and comicstrip author since 1992, has published over twenty albums, including the series Helvetika, O'Malley, Las Chicas and Waraba and is a co-founder of publishing house Netho Prod (www.nethoprod.com)
His great interest for street graphics (www.isk-design.com) naturally drew him towards rap, then to the art of spoken word (poetry recited on the rhythm of sound played by musicians, often in an improvised performance).
AS GUEST:
On the invitation oj Dj Goo, he gave concerts at numerous festivals, including the Montreux Jazz Festival and Paléo. He also performed at renowned clubs such as Zurich's Moods, the Loft in Lausanne and the Dampfzentrale in Bern.
His collaboration with Dj Goo also Led to Various recording for record label Synchrovision: "The Greatest EP"(1999),"Fractal Abstraction"(2000), "Deeper Shades of Soul"(2003), "Dj Cam vs Dj Goo remix Notably"(2003).
He also recorded a live album with Dj Invaderz and Total Science at the famous Roxtore club, on the Freshly Cut label.
He recorded a jingle for a popular radio program hosted by Gilles Peterson on Radio One(BBC),and prformed as a guest with icons of London's drum'n'bass scene including Dj Storm, Groove Rider, Dj Die and Mc Dynamite, and Dj Headrush.
He has been an official MC for the internationally renowed Montreux Jazz Festival since 2000-Miles Davi Hall-where he performs opening introductions for the evening gigs during the two weeks of the event.
He very recently took part in the recording of the percussionist "Bertrand BLESSING'S BREAKBEAT & MC'S" album. His latest performances were at the Nuits Sonores festival, Lyon and the Electron festival, Geneva.
AS A GROUP MEMBER:
In 1996, he started performing with Sub6 band and the new group Teardrop, in partnership with Dj Klementes and Dj Thaidee aka Dashund(resident DJs at the "Chat Noir" bar and the "Zoo" club in Geneva), and also gave various concerts throughout Europe.
He also performs with the group "Vibes"(created by Dj Heart and Dj JP from radio station Couleur3 and Radio Nova), members of which give concerts in clubs and are resident Djs at "La Cantina", Chamonix and at London's famous "Cargo" club (with Eastborn Scottish Hip Hop).
Since early 2005, he has also performed with Grand Pianoramax, group headed by keyboard player Leo Tardin, on one European tour, and performances at Lisbon's "Plaza Alegria" jazz club, London's Jazz Café, and as support act for Alice Russel at the Lausanne Jazz One Plus festival, and for Manu Katché in Fribourg (CH).
