In the end of the 90's, rafael boog began to mix on all kinds of music with his friend Samuel. Quickly, Rafael (alias dj raph.E) tried to get his first bookings on his own (as usual). In 1997 he succeeded by starting his DJ career in the legendary and famously known club "BABALABAR" in Basel (as DJ Antoine did). He begain to mix all kind of music and was for about 10 years the resident dj at this location. Further bookings followed (resident at Fame Basel, Atlantis etc.). He reached in the end the Basel's biggest clubs and played also in Berlin (90 degrees), Zurich and Bern.
In 1999, he started to produce his own songs (mostly trance and chill out) and due to his passion for psychology and the fact that time was limited, he started to focus more on his dj career than producer career.
In 2011, he recovered his studio and started to produce again with the producer name "rafael boog". His last name got inspired by the legendary synthesizer "moog". Therefore his producer name is a combination of the first letter of his original last name and moog.
