Biography
Seven Sun is a Switzerland-based producer. At only twenty-eight years old, Seven Sun -alias Cédric Egli - is already one of the future geniuses of the electronic Swiss mixes. Flashback: a childhood in a swiss suburb, student at Geneva’s International Technology College in audio engineering, specialist of sound design, he buys his first synthesizer in 1990. A year later, he buys a few machines and starts writing music. Purely by chance, Seven Sun discovers the beauty of using machines through the transcription of classical scores.
At the same time, he feels the thrill of the electronic beats of Royksopp, Portished and of the insolent hip hop of Timbaland, Dr Dre. With the help of Miguel Mariaca, Jail rec, Crab, universal music, Sirup Record/Zurich, Seven Sun manages to combine and improve his skills of sound engineer and producer for other artists of the label and for himself (Romy / Rachel / Naiya / Lost avenue / Frozen Duke / Cédric Carter / Time-Q ... ).
He attracts the attention of the European electronic movement in 2004 with his song, "Must Be Something." Experiencing success as part of dj Tatana’s album “Neonlights” and several other compilations in the world, it stormed the Swiss and Austrian charts. Since then, a series of high-profile releases and remixes have confirmed his position as one of the most exciting electronic music producers in Switzerland. His style is best categorised as combining dynamic productions with sensitive vocals, leading trance website trance.nu to recently declare, "It is this kind of productions that should define the future of this music genre".
