blues rock, rock, soul, ticino, tessin, swiss rock, wolf
Credits and thanks
Arriving on May 19, 2023, the second single “Cry Wolf.”
A slap of heavy blues and rock that tells, from the wolf’s perspective,
the difficult coexistence with humans in the Swiss
Alps and the demonization of one of the most mystical animals
in our region.
“Cry Wolf”, was again recorded at Officine Meccaniche studios
in Milano, Italy with Giuseppe “Peppa” Salvadori. The
track was expertly mixed by Grammy Award winner Tommaso
Colliva and mastered by Giovanni Versari of La Maestà
mastering studio. Cry Wolf’s cover art was made by Rocco
Lombardi with the scrathboard technique.
In “Cry Wolf”, Golden Vultures offer a thought-provoking
take on the relationship between humans and wolves. The
song is presented from the perspective of a wolf and explores
how humans tend to demonize these mystical animals,
viewing them as threats to be eliminated rather than
as integral parts of the natural world.
The lyrics touch on the ongoing debate surrounding the
coexistence of humans and wolves in the Swiss Alps, questioning
why a smarter solution to preserve these magnificent
creatures while respecting nature and protecting farmers
and their animals cannot be found. “Cry Wolf” is not just a
song, it is a call to action to protect and preserve the natural
world and all of its inhabitants.
