Biography

Emerging from the depths of blurry nightlife, AVEM's signature sound can best described as textured, driving and passionate. Growing alongside his Basel-based imprint LOKD, the Swiss producer, DJ and live act has had a significant impact on Electronica in the past years. Spearheading a novel sound with fellow label-heads Arutani and Dandara, AVEM's compositions and performances have been steadily evolving.

Entering his production career in 2017 with Nuages EP on a (then freshly born) Vienna-based imprint named Heimlich Musik, AVEM would go on to release eight more EPs and numerous singles in the following years, featuring collaborations and remixes with artists such as Ninze, O/Y, Mira & Chris Schwarzwalder, Soukie & Windish, Schlepp Geist and of course longtime friends Dandara and Arutani.

AVEM has been performing live-sets since 2018, premiering at Mira (Berlin)'s birthday at Kater Blau in Berlin. Past highlights include shows at various festivals, but also cities like Paris, Vienna, Copenhagen or New York – among many others.
