Biography

DimeBlend was born when Max Frapolli, a blues-rock musician performing in different bands, and the singer Chiara Ruggeri, more into pop and easy listening music, came together. In the beginning, they found a meeting point in a blended set of covers, played in live acoustic performances, then Max came with his own songs. With the full electric band, DimeBlend performed in some of the best venues in Ticino (Vallemaggia Magic Blues, Locarno On Ice) . Personnel: Claudio Bodini (organ, piano), Mauro Fiero (bass), Roby Panzeri (drums).

Max Frapolli (guitar, vocals) has always expressed himself, in several combos, through different music styles (pop, blues, folk, rock), giving priority to live concerts. With his band TreeSize he performed up to 2019 in more than one hundred concerts. He’s currently performing with the singer Raissa Avilès, the songwriter Francesco Pervangher, the Swiss-Uruguayan artist Rossana Taddei and the iconic Scarp da tennis band.

Chiara Ruggeri was selected to take part in the national TV show “The Voice Of Switzerland” where she worked with coach Philipp Fankhauser and discovered her blues soul. In 2017-18 she released her first dance single called “Save my loving” and took part along with other artists in the WeShamwari charity project for Africa with a song called “Change”.
