Biography

Iya Ko & The Guilty Pleasures are a French-speaking groove band based in Lausanne, Switzerland. Known for their transcendent stage performances, they are scheduled to play at the Montreux Jazz Festival in summer 2022. In the spring of 2023, they released their debut EP: Velours Vol.1, three bewitching soul tracks infused with jazz and hip-hop repertoires. On the heels of artists such as Anderson Paak and D’angelo, they now return with Volume 2, in which RnB, Disco, House and Afrobeat tint the soft fabric of dreamy lyrics. With its generous arrangements and meticulous production, Velours Vol. 2 is a nectar of rare quality, destined to conclude two years of maturation, with the pressing of an exclusive vinyl to serve as its bottling. An autumnal experience with the allure of an Indian summer, playing with the boundaries separating melancholy from romance, romance from desire and desire from pleasure, as Iya Ko’s sensual voice unfolds.
