Kalpetrane

Biography

Inspired by bands like Talking Heads, L'Impératrice and Nu Genea, the Valais-based band Kalpetrane gets the audience moving with their New Wave and Disco infused sound! The band has played more than 50 concerts in recent years. 2022 saw the first studio releases. Their latest single "Brother and Sister", released in autumn 2022, is playing on various Swiss radios, including Option Musique, Couleur 3 and RRO. The six musicians from the Lower and Upper Valais have recently been able to share their songs in French and English outside the cantonal borders, including at concerts at the ONO in Bern, the Sommercasino in Basel and the legendary Mokka in Thun.

Currently, the band is recording their first EP in collaboration with the Swiss musician and producer Grégoire Pasquier (aka "Shuttle") in the Studio de la Fonderie in Fribourg. Together with him, Kalpetrane continue to develop their style. The band devotes itself to more serious tones in their EP project. The band's new sound is sometimes melancholic, often gloomy, but always danceable!
