Biography

Kejnu is the moniker of multi-instrumentalist and multimedia artist Nuél Schoch, who lives and works in Zurich. Schoch's manifold music is characterized especially by his dreamy, solemn vocals but also rattling beats and percussions, grainy synthesizers and slightly psychedelic post-rock guitars. In his music you can find traces of a huge genre spectrum ranging from Alternative and Dream Pop, Electronica and Post-Rock. In spite of Schoch’s strong musical vision, Kejnu has always been influenced by the skills and the musical energy of his long-time band members Alessandro Giannelli and Ramon Ziegler. Schoch learned to play guitar at a very young age and started recording and distributing his 4-track tape recordings at the sweet age of 14.
