Biography

We are Kohoba, we love what we do, and we love you! We are named after Cohoba; an old indigene psychedelic ritual used to enter an altered state of consciousness. A means to send you on a creative journey. Just like the sound of Kohoba.
A drum, a guitar and a Moog Prodigy bass synth define our indie-pop. The acoustic meets the electronic in a sweet embrace. Our sound is rough and defined, melancholic and often floating while still being well-grounded.
In 2015 our yet most successful single “Hypocrites” was released, followed in 2016 by the first full album “Kohoba”. We refined our sound in the next album, “Jerayo”, three years later. We hit the studio for the third time in spring 2021, madness and all, the products of which will be released in the spring and summer of 2022.
