Biography

"I like to stir my house as if it were a Romanian Tocăniță, but I serve my techno more like a German tartare: raw and cold. My mise-en-place is minimalistic, and all servings come with an extra portion of groove."

Margaux_plays has played many instruments since a young age, but DJing is their preferred way to share music. You can book them for a gig anywhere in or near Switzerland. They are also open to making podcasts (at the moment listening to the Ghostcast series).

Since discovering electronic music in 2012, they have spent many nights on the dancefloor in Switzerland (Elysia, Folklor, les Copains d'Abord to name just a few) and elsewhere (mainly in Berlin at the Panorama Bar, Wintergarten, Hoppetosse / CdV and the like).

In 2016 they decided to learn how to spin records, and since then they mainly DJed in rave parties in his home, the canton of Vaud. More recently, they performed live for the 10th anniversary of Nicolas Duvoisin's label "Fantastic Friends Recordings".

In addition, they never miss an opportunity to pay a visit to their favourite record stores (LEGRAM VG, Yoyaku, Elevate, Black.round.twelve, deejay.de…), sometimes spending the whole day digging for the next gem! One musical element they constantly have an ear out for is the 'groove', that state of musical grace where the track seems to have taken off rhythmically.

If the names of their favourite clubs and record stores ring a bell, you may have already guessed that the music they play is greatly inspired by a minimalist approach. This is something that they also cultivates in other areas of his life.
