NOVOID was founded in 2015 in the St.Gallen Rhine Valley as a church band to spread „joy through music“. After several complaints regarding noise level, the 5 rock enthusiasts decide to write their own songs. „We play our own style, but the intention remains the same,“ says band founder Phil Keller.
They love fat riffs with a lot of forward pressure. Their music is inspired by their musical idols. The sound is hard and dirty, the stage show is entertaining and full of energy. Pure and hand-played, with forward pressure. Their songs invite you to rock along or think.

Thanks to their energetic stage presence, they perform at the Szene Openair in Lustenau. They also qualify as finalists in the Rheintal Soundz competition 2016, and their demo album „Living In Hell“ is released. They perform at the RHEMA in Altstätten, the „Rock am Fels“ in Montlingen, and qualify to participate in the bandXost competition. „Hard rock is far from dead, especially not in the Rhine Valley...“ is the comment of the magazine „Der Rheintaler“.
They succeed in thrilling the audience at the Conrad Sohm as the supporting act of the world-famous British hard rock band URIAH HEEP. In autumn 2018, their first album CD „PAINTLESS“. The band rocks across various stages and qualifies again for the bandXost competition in 2019.
In 2020, the band takes off with a new drummer and a new rhythm guitarist and releases six new songs. In December, the second album „ORNAMENT“ is released. Ten songs of pure solid rock. „The work is varied, creative, virtuosic and very entertaining. This is what straightforward rock with a lot of forward pressure sounds like...“, says Christian Imhof, publisher, QULTUR magazine.
Since all concerts are cancelled due to the pandemic, the band participates in the 1st Alive Festival in Bregenz. The music video „Never Stop“ is released in 2020, an international art project to save art during the crisis.
NOVOID will be featured on the „Metal Is Forever, Rockcast Show“, and will take part in the international „Metal Is Forever Rockmarathon“. „NOVOID's music breaks boundaries and connects people of all ages...“ says Hellfire-Franky, co-host of Metal Is Forever. As a supporting act of the internationally renowned hard rock band SHAKRA, who are often mentioned in connection with the world famous GOTTHART, they thrill the press and the audience. „I was there to take a closer look at both bands live and was surprised and downright rocked myself, especially by the support act,“ says Max Weiss for Qultur Magazine 05/22.

Their third album „TEA TIME“ will be released in June 2023, a work that contains concentrated energy, daring riffs and lyrics that touch.
