Biography

Raindog's approach to music and songwriting is direct and honest, free of the restrictions given by having to stick to genres or pre-determined rules, leaving space for different influences and sounds to coexist while keeping a common thread thanks to the rhythmic parts and deep, dominant synth basses. The lyrics have the goal of giving a voice to the human experience, including the uncomfortable emotions and thoughts that we tend to hide from the outside world, creating a safe space for whomever might feel seen and understood.

Raindog (Christel Balzano) is a Swiss songwriter and musician. Her first approach to music studies is in the Jazz field, and in 2018 she moved to Rome (IT) to attend Saint Louis College of Music, where she obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degree in pop music.
The first stages of her music were born in Switzerland but they finally took shape in Rome, thanks to the collaboration with Giulio Scipioni, Mauro Cola and Simone D’Andrea, who contribute greatly to giving a unique sound to the songs.
