Biography

Born in London and raised in Geneva, Tancia comes from a vibrant family that has always loved music and art.

She knew she wanted to be a singer from her very first choir rehearsals, when she quickly realised that it wasn’t just harmonies and sounds that fascinated her. The desire to become a singer developed along with her taste for art, design, film and photography as she grew up watching 90s MTV Base, collecting posters of her favourite artists to ultimately, working in the advertising industry.

Today, Tancia’s story and personality set her apart as an artist. Singing in a balanced mix of French and English to reflect her day-to-day reality, she describes herself as a “curious chameleon” navigating through personal hardships and trauma with the help of her music.

Her honest, poetry-packed musical compositions are a response to years of feeling numb, powerless and heartbroken. Filled with R&B, pop and soul influences her music will resonate with fans of Solange, Yebba, H.E.R, Ari Lennox and Frank Ocean.
