The compositions of the Zurich pianist and singer Ursula Bachmann are full of refined poetry and nuanced harmonies. In her Bewildered Hearts project, she presents Zurich saxophonist Tobias Pfister and British drummer Phelan Burgoyne. In an intimate chamber music setting, the three musicians liberate the song and venture into new dimensions through diverse improvisation. The subtle voice of Ursula Bachmann rises above the textures of the three instruments, sometimes vulnerable, then again in mild strength, looking for moments of wonder for the heart.
