Biography

The Zurich-based band weaves elements of blackgaze, doom and post-metal into hypnotic-heavy and simultaneously dreamy-ethereal soundscapes.

wazzara emerged in 2015 from the solo project of Swiss singer and composer Barbara Brawand and has evolved to a band since 2021 with additional members George Necola (bass), Mäsi Stettler (guitar), Tom Kuzmic (guitar) and Deniz Lebovci (drums).
Main source of inspiration, for both music and lyrics, is nature‘s equally destructive and creative power, specifically of the element water. All is flux, nothing stands still.
